So I did the upgrade to DotNetNuke (DNN) 7.3 after reading some Tweets, some blogs posts, and others, and it appears that this upgrade wasn't all that painless. If you're looking at doing the upgrade let me run down some known issues that I and others have encountered

According to a recent survey released by W3Techs, the Microsoft stack still lags behind in the educational sector for CMS use. Between Wordpress, Drupal, and Joomla, they take a combined 64.7% of the CMS being used by .edu domains. At the top of the .NET based content management systems is Ektron, followed by SharePoint, and then DotNetNuke. My favorite, DNN takes just 3.4% of the sector.

Maybe it's already dead, and when I say dead, I mean the brand name of "DotNetNuke", not the current version of the product. As DNN diehards know, DNN Corp changed the branding of DotNetNuke over to DNN. They changed the old domain name from dotnetnuke.com over to dnnsoftware.com. Even the software has been rebranded from DotNetNuke Community, Pro, Enterprise over to Evoke. I was looking over Google trends and you can see that the search term "DotNetNuke" is pretty much dead, the forecast shows it continuing it's downward spiral into oblivion ...
