I'm continuing my blog series on the CMSs compared. Today I will be talking about the Marketplaces for each. SharePoint, not much to be said there. It is so spread out and decentralized it's hard to find anything. TechNet does have a good amount of PowerShell scripts out there for managing sites. In addition to TechNet you'll have to do a lot of Googling in order to find solutions to use, install, and play around with. I just read Shaun Walker's tweet that he's leaving DNN Corp. He says:
"After nearly 14 years of working on one of the most widely deployed open source CMS platforms, the company and I have concluded that it’s time for me to seek new opportunities that build on these experiences. My passion for building products and ecosystems that make an impact on the world is as strong as ever and I look forward focusing my energy and creativity along similar lines."

So I did the upgrade to DotNetNuke (DNN) 7.3 after reading some Tweets, some blogs posts, and others, and it appears that this upgrade wasn't all that painless. If you're looking at doing the upgrade let me run down some known issues that I and others have encountered
