Google Sites led the U.S. explicit core search market in June with 67.6 percent market share, followed by Microsoft Sites with 19.2 percent (up 0.4 percentage points) and Yahoo Sites with 9.8 percent. Ask Network accounted for 2.1 percent of explicit core searches, followed by AOL, Inc. with 1.3 percent.

Having worked in the entertainment industry and with content sites where the site itself was the primary revenue generator, attitudes are very different than most corporate digital teams. The attitude was competitive, and competition breeds innovation. And we didn’t compete against companies as you would think, we competed against other sites.
