If you're not familiar with Woot.com you may want to be. Woot is a site that sells only one item at a time. Usually there is only one item posted to the site per day. In some cases they have what is called a Woot Off. In the case of a Woot Off, they then post one item after another, once an item is sold out another item is posted. This Woot Off can go on for a day or two until they sell all the items they want to.
Woot is based in Texas, and started out as a small operation and has grown tremendously in the past couple years of its operation. Their unique marketing strategy of selling only one item per day (usually a technology related item), really builds demand. I have purchased a couple items from Woot due to the low prices they provide on the items they sell. Many times the item will be a refurbished item, or some inventory they obtained at a low price to sell out.
