We purchased a Nintendo Wii for my kids for Christmas. A little while ago, my three year old walked out of the living room, and suddenly the Wii no longer would work. Basically it wouldn't take any game disks. So I did a little searching the web and found out about Nintendo's excellent customer service and our warrenty. So we called Nintendo to tell them about the Wii no longer working. The person on the phone said no problem a new Wii will be sent out in a matter of days, just return the old Wii using the package provided. No cost at all.
Now this is how customer service should be.

Three monitors are the way to go and thanks to my Q1 I am there. Basically I have three monitors, two hooked up to my workstation, and one on the Q1, then on my Vista workstation I have win2vnc hooked up to control my Q1 from the workstation keyboard. I created a wallpaper for the PCs to make one long scene between all three monitors for the atheistic feel.
Looking under my desk, I really need some cable management. < ...

I presented on DotNetNuke Module Development yesterday at the Pittsburgh Code Camp. Overall it was a very good event with about 175 people in attendance. There were three sessions going on at the same time each with a good showing.
It's great to get out and meet new folks who are into technology and being able to talk about DotNetNuke. The food was good too.

So I just blogged a couple days ago about my daughter's Jonas Brothers Fansite, and now she's over 1500 unique visitors per day and made it to the first page of Google when searching on the Jonas Brothers. That is a 100% improvement in traffic in a matter of a couple days. Simply incredible, the power of the tween is amazing.

So at 14 years old my daughter started her Jonas Brothers Fansite this month, and in less than one month's time she is at over 700 unique visitors per day. I'm simply amazed at how she picked up DotNetNuke, and some web tools like PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, and learning some of the HTML basics. It does a father proud to see their child take up the family trade and move full force ahead like she did.
I had to add another blog entry to give a little linkage help too. Now I can farm out some of my DNN work as well. What are the child labor laws....?

I kind of took 2006 off of the speaking trail, only speaking at an event in Edinboro, PA, this year however I'm back at it again. I have two events lined up already. For some reason folks want me to come and speak about DotNetNuke (could be my two books on it, I dunno). So here is my schedule for the next month:
Pittsburgh Code Camp: DotNetNuke Module, & Skinning Development
Saturday, April 14, 2007 Time Zone: (UTC -05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada) Description: Join Patrick Santry and a slew of other presentors at the Pittsburgh, PA CodeCamp. Patrick will be presenting on DotNetNuke development, covering skins, skin objects, and module development.

No this site isn't aimed at DNN content. Rather it's a fan site for a band called Jonas Brothers. The reason I'm bringing this up in my blog is because my daughter is following in my footsteps and built a DNN site. She did the entire site, created the graphics in PhotoShop, developed the skin in DreamWeaver, and packaged it up and uploaded it to DNN. All she came to me was for advice and an occasional question.
This kind of says something for DNN, she is only 14 years old, and was able to figure it out mostly on her own. I'm sure genetics come into play somewhere. ;-)
Now she's talking about developing her own modules.
And the link in order to generate some spider traffic for her. http://www.jonasbrothersfan.com

I accepted a position with Sogeti in Cleveland as the Microsoft Practice Lead. Sogeti is a subsidiary of Cap Gemini with locations all over the world. I'll be starting on the 26th of this month.
It will be great taking a break from the corporate world and going into consulting. Another great aspect is being able to focus on Microsoft solutions.
So if you're in the Cleveland, OH area, look me up.
